FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 10, 2006 Solar Electric Project Receives Coveted Valley Forward Award

PerfectPower Inc. announced today receiving Valley Forward Association “Award of Merit” Environmental Technologies – Private Sector, for the Optima Biltmore Solar Arbors, solar electric project. The Award was presented at “The Environmental Excellence Awards” program in recognition of outstanding environmental achievement.

This project represents the first high rise solar electric system in Arizona.

“The Photovoltaic (PV) systems top two towers at 24th and Camelback and is the first environmental award for a High-rise Photovoltaic system in the state. It’s one of the few awards for a solar application in the state” said Lynn Paige, PerfectPower Inc. CEO. “The project is the first solar system to achieve a Valley Forward award. It will provide electricity to the condo building owners “common areas”, thereby reducing their electric bills.”

The Solar Arbors are an excellent example of the integration of aesthetically pleasing Solar PV technology in any commercial / residential project and building design.

“We Mainstream Solar Technology”, said Lynn Paige, PerfectPower CEO. “Receiving this award for such an exciting high-rise solar project is a major step forward for commercial architecture and building in Arizona. The Project was result of Optima DCH forward thinking and planning long before any rate increases were announced last year. With Optima’s interest and track record in sustainability and design excellence, they have made a bold, beautiful statement with the addition of solar to their project. It is a win win for Optima and their residents, and shows design leadership in Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV).”

PerfectPower has become synonymous with commercial and challenging solar projects in the southwest, Arizona and the Valley of the Sun. With 3 decades in the industry, they see the promise of solar is now a reality.

The Valley of the Sun has more available solar energy than any other populated area in the country and with the passage of the new Energy Portfolio will become a meaningful contributor to satisfy Arizona’s growing thirst for electrical energy. “PV equates to and delivers energy pricing stability in an unstable energy environment.”
